Preparing for Races

While it’s still early to discover the core meta straggles in Pegaxy, you still have to race your Pegaxy if you want to earn coins. Luckily, all races are free to enter with no fee required to race. As long as you have a Pega, you’re ready to race.

Bloodlines

Zan

Wind Type

Wind, wind, and did I forget to mention wind? The most common Pega in the game, Zan, works harder than any horse. Focus and stability makes Zan a great starting Pega

Klin

Water Type

Focused and reliable helps the Klin Pega stay calm in wet track conditions. You won’t have to fear to dive deep into the track during a stormy race with the Master of Water.

Campona

Fire Type

With flames everywhere, it’s hard to ignore the Campona Pega. Known as Gods, their resistancy and speed will leave other Pegas catching their breath.

Hoz

Lightning Type

If Zeus could ride the clouds, he’d choose only horse: Hoz. They are powerful and highly rewarding to its owners. If you get the lucky chance to obtain a Hoz, you will have the rarest bloodline of all bloodlines and be the Master of All. They are a force to be reckoned with.

Gear

Before racing, make sure that the Gear you have either cover the weaknesses of your Pega or help double-down on their strengths. Be careful on what Gear you select, because each one has a zero-sum reaction. A single Gear will have a positive and a negative effect across some attributes.

For example, if you use a Chest Plate that adds 1% Strength, then the Gear will remove 1% in either Speed or Fire. There’s a simple formula below to remember which attributes effect what.

Speed ← → Strength ← → Fire ← → Water ← → Wind ← → Light ← → Speed

You have the option to choose between a Head Wear, Knee Wear, Chest Wear, and a Backside Wear. It will be up to you to see how you will set up your Pega for success in the race.

Food

Food is also a great way to temporarily boost your Pega’s attributes or increase the weakest parts of your Pega. The same formula for Gears that effect each attribute works exactly the same for Food. Remember that for every positive change in an attribute there will be a negative change to an attribute as well. The effect of Food lasts for 7 days and can only be eaten once every week.

Speed ← → Strength ← → Fire ← → Water ← → Wind ← → Light ← → Speed

Below is a list of what types of Food that helps increase and decrease 1% of each different attributes.

Track

Pegas have to undergo different track conditions from water, wind, strength, speed, and other factors. As a player, you have to determine what type of gear you will put on as explained in the previous section.

In the future, when Pegaxy develops its 3D version of the game, players will be able to control their Pegas in a Mario Kart-inspired style that the developers are wishing to create. More strategies and how to perfect controls in different track conditions will be needed later when new updates are released in 2022.

At this time, attributes are still at its core one of the best ways to determine whether you will win a race or not.

Other Tips

The higher the level of stats you have between all attributes will heavily determine whether you have a winning Pega. Find Pegas that you find powerful and determine which of the ones you find is at a better price.

The more you race your Pega, the more accurate your Pega’s win rate will let you know whether you have a good chance of winning. Anything above 50% is better than anything. If you are doubtful, continue racing horses that have a 25%-49% win rate. Manually track your Pega’s wins to determine whether you should keep them or sell them.
